Why we run: Bacon and Donuts!

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Running Evolution Fund Run: the Bacon and Donuts edition!

Those of you that know Running Evolution know that it's all about building community. RE runners are unique in that way. We believe that we become better runners by supporting each other, and working together to achieve our goals. That's why we've developed the Fund Run. It's a chance to come together, run together, and do good in the world together.

Each year we select a nonprofit organization and ask our runners to make a donation to them in lieu of a registration fee. Last year, we collected money and food donations for the West Seattle Food Bank. This year, we've selected the newly formed Fairmount Park Elementary PTA, because education is important, you know?

In typical Fat Ass (this is an actual running term!) fashion, our event is bare bones. Except for the bacon. And the donuts. Which don't lead to bare bones, they lead to fat asses. Which again, is why we run. But I digress.

What you can expect from this event is a lot of people, happy to be together running. We will have some water stops, many high-fives, and delicious baked goods to celebrate. But no medals, no timing devices, and probably no t-shirts (still under discussion).

Will you join us?
